Hippekniep mittel Eisbuche
Ich habe bereits 6 hochwertige Taschenmesser,mit Stahlsorten wie Magnacut und anderen. Aber etwas fehlt. In Anlehnung an meine "Zöppken" mit Carbonstahl, suchte ich ein Taschenmesser mit diesem Stahl. Bei Otter wurde ich fündig. In dem kleinen Verkaufsraum fühlt man sich gleich wie zu Hause. Man spürt förmlich die Handarbeit dieser Artikel. Als ich das Hippekniep in die Hand nahm, fühlt es sich an,als wenn ich die Hand,einer meiner Enkel in die meine nehme. Ein Gefühl von Zuneigung und Wärme. Ich habe "mein" Messer gefunden.

What a great fit and finish on this product- Just received it and am delighted with purchase- hope to return with more after a period of sustained use. Slip is of very high quality as is the leather strap. Altogether a fine EDC carry combination.

Handwerk vom Feinsten.
Habe heute zwei Hippeknieps erhalten. Mit Micarta Schalen und mit Eisbuche. Das Micarta ist griffig, aber der Stoff ist versiegelt. Habe ich lieber als das "offene" Micarta, dass dann doch ziemlich unhygienisch ist. Die Schalen aus Eisbuche haben eine sehr interessante Zeichnung, gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Habe das Holz noch mit Jojobaöl behandelt, die Maserung ist jetzt noch intensiver und die Schalen besser geschützt. Habe vorhin schon mit einem Zwiebel in feinste Würfel geschnitten..."Schneidteufel". Im Prinzip ist es so schnittfreudig wie ein Opinel. Die Klinge allerdings etwas stärker (in der Mitte ca 2,1mm), und das Messer natürlich insgesamt stabiler. Fazit: Ein absoluter Schneidteufel mit sehr akkurater Verarbeitung.
