Toller Klassiker aus Solingen
Hervorragend verarbeitet, sehr wertig, man hat richtig was in der Hand. Schöne Holzmaserung, gut ausgeschliffen und scharf! Insgesamt ein schönes klassisches und robustes Messer für alltägliche Arbeiten. Preislich völlig angemessen, deutsche Fertigung, was will man mehr!

Work of art!
This is a beautiful knife with a lovely smooth handle that fits comfortably in the hand, and a solid blade that is razor sharp out of the box! The bolster gives a reassuring sense of solidity and means the knife feels balanced, as well as looking the part. I love it!

Ein echter Gentleman!
Genau dieses klassisch schöne Messer habe ich gesucht. Tolles, zeitloses Finish und wirklich in Handarbeit perfekt gearbeitet. Es gibt in der Tat nichts zu mäkeln, ein super Messer. Ein ganz großes Lob an die Messermacher und das Team der Firma Otter-Messer.

Ein Stück Geschichte
Ein klassisches und sehr hochwertiges Taschenmesser für den täglichen Gebrauch. Das Messer ist hochwertig verarbeitet. Die Klingel wird durch eine kräftige Feder gehalten, hat keinerlei Spiel und kam sehr scharf ab Werk so stelle ich mir ein einfaches Taschenmesser vor. Wer ein Taschenmesser ohne viel schnick schnack sucht ist mit dem Otter 161 bestens Bedient.

Belgian whetstones are used for sharpening the knives. These whetstones consist of a natural stone quarried from the Belgian Ardennes mountains. Their unique consistency makes it possible for us to grind the blades with precision and in a material-friendly way. The lighter layer is used for grinding, the slate layer on the bottom is simply to make the sharpening stone stronger. The Belgian whetstones must be wet before honing. Set the blade onto the stone at a sharp angle and pull it back in circular motions. A natural abrasive paste develops in this process, which sharpens the blade and polishes it finely at the same time. The Belgian whetstone no. 4 is the smaller one of our whetstones.
