Functionality and understated beauty — these attributes define this classic from the house of OTTER. The anchor knife is a true eye-catcher. The brass anchor embedded in the Elforyn* handle and the blued carbon steel blade give this knife a unique flair. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for the attachment of a lanyard. The hoof blade is particularly well-suited for drawing cuts. The surface bluing may diminish with use! * Elforyn is an environmentally friendly alternative to real ivory. It is made from resins, some of which are of plant origin, and other natural fibers and materials. Elforyn is resistant to moisture, cracks, and discoloration. Belgian whetstones BB 4
Belgian whetstones are used for sharpening the knives. These whetstones consist of a natural stone quarried from the Belgian Ardennes mountains. Their unique consistency makes it possible for us to grind the blades with precision and in a material-friendly way. The lighter layer is used for grinding, the slate layer on the bottom is simply to make the sharpening stone stronger. The Belgian whetstones must be wet before honing. Set the blade onto the stone at a sharp angle and pull it back in circular motions. A natural abrasive paste develops in this process, which sharpens the blade and polishes it finely at the same time. The Belgian whetstone no. 4 is the smaller one of our whetstones.
