OTTER Small pruning knife 2931

Description

Product information "OTTER Small pruning knife 2931"

This knife is a small garden and a nursery knife with a blade sharpened on one side. It is well suited for cutting smaller trees and shrubs. The blade is made of particularly wear-resistant carbon steel. The dry-fine process (honing) and the subsequent, careful stropping, the blade receives its ultra-fine edge. The handle made of robust sapele wood fits securely in the hand when gardening.

Belgian whetstones BB 4
Belgian whetstones are used for sharpening the knives. These whetstones consist of a natural stone quarried from the Belgian Ardennes mountains. Their unique consistency makes it possible for us to grind the blades with precision and in a material-friendly way. The lighter layer is used for grinding, the slate layer on the bottom is simply to make the sharpening stone stronger. The Belgian whetstones must be wet before honing. Set the blade onto the stone at a sharp angle and pull it back in circular motions. A natural abrasive paste develops in this process, which sharpens the blade and polishes it finely at the same time. The Belgian whetstone no. 4 is the smaller one of our whetstones.
