Product information "Anchor knife small grenadilla"

The OTTER anchor knife stands out for its combination of functionality and timeless elegance. As a real eye-catcher, it features a brass anchor harmoniously integrated into the elegant wooden handle, creating a stylish contrast with the dark wood scales. Practical and aesthetic, the hole at the end of the handle allows for the attachment of a cord. Equipped with a hoof blade ideal for slicing cuts, this model offers the highest cutting precision. The blade is available in stainless steel or robust carbon steel. This version represents the compact edition of our popular classic.

Please note: We sell our knives with grenadilla scales only within Germany and the EU.
Our Grenadilla knife sheaths are from the old stock before the listing in the EC Regulation No. 338/97 took place on 02.01.2017.

Nice German Folder

It is a nice traditional german folder, with an easy to sharpen carbon steel from Solingen but with some fit and finishes issues which requires some "elbow grease" (well, it's not a GEC!) After some treatment with 1200 grid sandpaper and polishing with smurf poo (Blue buffing Compound from Bolpol), all transitions are now sleek and smooth. It's a pity that it lacks of a second stop so, beware of your fingers when closing it! Summa Summarum: in any case, quite happy with the knife, it will be a nice companion

Belgian whetstones BB 4
Belgian whetstones are used for sharpening the knives. These whetstones consist of a natural stone quarried from the Belgian Ardennes mountains. Their unique consistency makes it possible for us to grind the blades with precision and in a material-friendly way. The lighter layer is used for grinding, the slate layer on the bottom is simply to make the sharpening stone stronger. The Belgian whetstones must be wet before honing. Set the blade onto the stone at a sharp angle and pull it back in circular motions. A natural abrasive paste develops in this process, which sharpens the blade and polishes it finely at the same time. The Belgian whetstone no. 4 is the smaller one of our whetstones.
