Tradition meets modernity - this best describes our collaboration with the Moorschmied company. The idea of a joint project has existed for some time and now finds expression in our Damascus table knife.

The table knives with the typical humped blade have been manufactured for almost 150 years and are among the oldest blade shapes in Germany. A real classic that was already on the table of our grandparents. OTTER table knives have always been produced by hand in the company's own manufactory and can thus guarantee the usual quality of "made in Solingen".

In collaboration with Moorschmied, the classic Solingen table knife now appears in a new guise: the blade is made of Damascus steel, forged in the Darlaten Moor, where Moorschmied is based. There, 160 layers of wild damascus are folded in several steps in the forge. These blanks are further processed at OTTER-Messer in the manufactory: through unique, stabilised handle woods that have been handpicked and the fine grinding on site at the "Solinger Bock", you can already sense the individual character of each knife. Back at Moorschmied, the blades are etched to reveal the unique pattern of each knife.

This is how very personal table knives are created in genuine handicraft, each of which is unique. The perfect gift for all lovers of traditional work and those who want to become one.

Take a look at how these knives were made.

All knives are unique unless otherwise stated.
On request, we will be happy to make your desired table knives individually.
