The FINN pocket knife is as modern as it is elegant. Its clear, unadorned shape beautifully showcases the handle materials, which can be either green Micarta or stabilized wood in lime. A new feature is the release mechanism for the pocket knife located at the end of the handle. By pressing the lever, the blade is unlocked and can be folded. The backlock further enhances this high-quality knife and emphasizes its straightforward character. The blade is made of Sandvik steel 14C28N. With a narrow blade thickness of only 2 mm, it can be sharpened to a very sharp edge. Belgian whetstones are used for sharpening the knives. These whetstones consist of a natural stone quarried from the Belgian Ardennes mountains. Their unique consistency makes it possible for us to grind the blades with precision and in a material-friendly way. The lighter layer is used for grinding, the slate layer on the bottom is simply to make the sharpening stone stronger. The Belgian whetstones must be wet before honing. Set the blade onto the stone at a sharp angle and pull it back in circular motions. A natural abrasive paste develops in this process, which sharpens the blade and polishes it finely at the same time. The Belgian whetstone no. 4 is the smaller one of our whetstones.
