OTTER "Kalan" Spiegelplatane
Product information "OTTER "Kalan" Spiegelplatane"
Kalan Folding Knife – durable, elegant, and handcrafted from figured plane wood
The Kalan is a handcrafted, robust folding knife with a powerful presence and functional design. Inspired by the sea otter "Kalan," it offers an ergonomic shape and high-quality craftsmanship – perfect for outdoor use, everyday carry, or hunting.
The handle scales are made from exclusive figured plane wood (Spiegelplatane), a hardwood known for its shimmering, mirror-like surface. This unique look is achieved through a specific cut called the "mirror cut," where the grain orientation reflects light and gives the wood its striking depth and gloss.
The blade is made from N690 Böhler steel, a premium stainless steel with excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy resharpening – ideal for demanding conditions.
All metal components – including bolsters, rivets, liners, and the lanyard hole – are made from solid brass, adding both stability and timeless elegance.
A matching leather lanyard is included in the delivery.
